We made wine and wine writers made words. Beautiful words.  Read what they said about the wines we produced from the little two-acre vineyard we planted in the Chehalem Mountains AVA...

2011 Noel Family Vineyard Pinot Noir
"For Pinot lovers around the world, this micro-boutique wine showcases an ideal snapshot of what Oregon is truly capable of. This stunning wine exhibits a highly reflective, pale ruby core with light garnet reflections on the rim. Intense and feminine aromatics of ripe strawberry, red cherry, candied raspberry and rose petals charm the nose over aromas of dew-kissed forest floor, wild herbs and a clean yet complex varietal perfume.  The wine has immense purity, a silken mouthfeel and has incredibly soft tannins akin to a well made Chambolle-Musigny."  Click here to read more.

92 Points - 2012 Noel Family Vineyard Pinot Noir "Night"
"Vivid red. Complex, highly perfumed scents of red and dark berries, potpourri, vanilla and underbrush, with a smoky mineral note adding lift. Concentrated, lively and focused on the palate, offering intense black raspberry and rose pastille flavors that pick up growing spiciness with aeration. A mineral nuance comes up on the gently tannic, clinging finsih."
91 Points - 2012 Noel Family Vineyard Pinot Noir
"Bright red. Powerful, expressive bouquet evokes ripe cherry and raspberry, with hints of incense and candied lavender adding complexity. Plush, seamless and broad on entry, then more taut in the middle, offering intense red fruit and spice cake flavors and a hint of smokiness.  Closes sweet, silky and very long, with sneaky tannins coming in late to contribute grip.  I'd have guessed that there was some new oak here, but there isn't."

"This year I've tasted scores of beautiful Oregon Pinot Noirs, yet Noel's linger brightly.  They're ripe with voluptuous acidity, shimmery minerals, and a forest-earthiness that keeps the fruit in perspective."  Click here to read more.

"It goes back to that farm table in Verona, Italy, Noel says, sitting around the kitchen table, just being with people - conversation, friendship, slowing down and appreciating what you have and what's around you."  Click here to read more.

"Noel Family Pinot are lovely wines both characteristically Chehalem while also their own - pretty, delicate with integrated, and distinctive spice elements, carrying nice tension and depth, all about red fruit, and a Northern forest flavor and aroma held in fine boned balance."  Click here to read more.
