Our Wine

Our first harvest was in 2010, just three years after we planted the vineyard. 2010 is one of our favorite vintages and was a great start to a decade of producing wine.  Here are a few glimpses of some of our earlier vintages and the reviews we received...



2012 Pinot Noir (91 pts. Vinous, $40 - SOLD OUT)
TASTING NOTES from Josh Raynolds, Vinous: Bright red. Powerful, expressive bouquet evokes ripe cherry and raspberry, with hints of incense and candied lavender adding complexity. Plush, seamless and broad on entry, then more taut on the middle, offering intense red fruit and spice cake flavors and a hint of smokiness. Closes sweet, silky and very long, with sneaky tannins coming in late to contribute grip. I'd have guessed that there was some new oak here, but there isn't. 
52 cases produced (624 bottles),  13.6% alcohol, 12-month èlevage, harvested 10/12/12.


2012 Pinot Noir "NIGHT" (92 pts. Vinous, $50 - SOLD OUT)
TASTING NOTES from Josh Raynolds, Vinous: Vivid red. Complex, highly perfumed scents of red and dark berries, potpourri, vanilla and underbrush, with a smoky mineral note adding lift. Concentrated, lively and focused on the palate, offering intense black raspberry and rose pastille flavors that pick up growing spiciness with aeration. A mineral nuance comes on the gently tannic, clinging finish.

2011 Pinot Noir ($40 - NFS)
TASTING NOTES from Ian Cauble, MS, SommSelect: For Pinot lovers around the world, this micro-boutique wine showcases an ideal snapshot of what Oregon is truly capable of.  This stunning wine exhibits a highly reflective, pale ruby core with light garnet reflections on the rim. Intense and feminine aromatics of ripe strawberry, red cherry, candied raspberry and rose petals charm the nose over aromas of dew-kissed forest floor, wild herbs and a clean yet complex varietal perfume. The wine has immense purity, a silken mouthfeel and has incredibly soft tannins akin to a well made Chambolle-Musigny.
